About the SAIC MSI Program
Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has been awarded a $165 million contract by the Commonwealth of Virginia to serve as a multi-sourcing service integrator (MSI). Under the contract, SAIC will provide an innovative approach to assist the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) with modernizing the state's technology infrastructure. Under the contract, SAIC will coordinate and monitor multiple IT infrastructure services suppliers for state executive branch agencies. The MSI is the cornerstone of a strategy that will diversify the state's portfolio of suppliers, improve service delivery quality, ensure cost-competitiveness, and provide transparency and accountability into the commonwealth's service delivery platform.
Position Summary
SAIC is seeking a Knowledge Management Analyst to join our team supporting a major state & local government customer. The Knowledge Management Analyst ensures that professional support and response standards are met and maintained. Must have comprehensive knowledge in the use of personal computers and a solid understanding of software fundamentals. The Knowledge Management Analyst must be able to think logically and act decisively in critical situations. They will contribute to the development of the organization's goals and objectives and interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups and customers.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- The Knowledge Management Analyst (KMA) shall coordinate activities to ensure continued compliance with MSI policies and procedures.
- KMAs utilize information sharing portals to have information readily accessible to personnel and stakeholders. This task requires expertise in developing Microsoft SharePoint portals, database management, and Microsoft office suite applications. It also includes KM Help Desk, Service Portal and KM Process Improvement.
- The KMA conducts activities related to the knowledge management processes, to include but are not limited to: content analysis, document management, data capture, portals, shared storage locations, workflow, collaboration, data warehousing, decision support, information dissemination; planning to encompass the strategy, architecture and methodology for an enterprise modernization effort; selection, implementation and measure of packaged solutions for enterprise modernization; complete integration of applications with target data and defined processes.
- Integrates information from departments and functions throughout the organization to facilitate easy access, sharing and dissemination of information with internal business partners and external customers
- Develops reports as required to support operations, write knowledge content as required, and prepare presentations for senior management to support recommended changes, new initiatives or enhancements
- Be responsible to take on administrative tasking as required.
- Must be capable of providing customer consulting services with minimal supervision
- Proven strong oral/written communication and customer interface skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
- Excellent planning/time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks effectively and experience working in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Ability to work seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of related experience. Degree requirement waived in lieu of significant recent and relevant work experience: minimum of five (5) years' active duty military or minimum of five (5) years' experience with HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Hands on experience working in an ITIL based environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) applications and common office software applications.
- Candidate should be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to accomplish tasks under pressure with limited supervision.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Candidate must be a team player.
- Candidate must have flexibility to accommodate time-sensitive and mission-critical work.
- The successful candidate will have exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- US Citizen who must be able to pass a Commonwealth of Virginia background check.
Desired Software Experience:
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Calendar, Project, Internet Explorer, and Access), and Adobe Reader, MS Sharepoint

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
