SAIC is seeking a Project Management Analyst to join our account team supporting a major state & local government customer.
- The Project Management Analyst will support the Platform Office team providing infrastructure services to a variety of geographically disperse customers.
- The Project Management Analyst will receive assignments from senior colleagues and Platform Office management in the form of objectives, and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
- The Project Management Analyst will serve an important role in monitoring project performance to ensure customers receive effective and timely infrastructure services.
- The Project Management Analyst will frequently interact directly with internal company and external contacts, and represents the organization on specific projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets.
- Manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Ensures contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.
- Responsibilities may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
- Participates in the development of solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity using policies, procedures and practices for guidance.
- Participate in assigned meetings and take minutes.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Participate in continued efforts to enhance and improve Platform Office processes and tools.
- Position is located in Richmond, Virginia.
- Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience. Masters and one year of related experience. HS Diploma or Equivalent will be considered in lieu of degree with an additional 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Use and/or application of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
- Knowledge of industry practices and standards.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) applications and common office software applications.
- Candidate must have flexibility to accommodate time-sensitive and mission-critical work.
- Prefer previous experience or familiarity with ServiceNow.
Must be able to pass a Commonwealth of Virginia background check.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
