About the SAIC MSI Program
SAIC has been awarded a $165 million contract by the Commonwealth of Virginia to serve as a multi-sourcing service integrator (MSI). Under the contract, SAIC will provide an innovative approach to assist the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) with modernizing the state's technology infrastructure. SAIC will coordinate and monitor multiple IT infrastructure services suppliers for state executive branch agencies. The MSI is the cornerstone of a strategy that will diversify the state's portfolio of suppliers, improve service delivery quality, ensure cost-competitiveness, and provide transparency and accountability into the commonwealth's service delivery platform.
Position Summary
SAIC is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager (Current & Ongoing Programs Manager) to join our Platform Management Office (PMO) team supporting the VITA contract. The Infrastructure Project Manager (Current & Ongoing Programs Manager) will manage a portfolio of defined, ongoing programs associated with technical infrastructure. This includes Technology Planning, Disaster Recovery Preparedness, Risk Management, Service Management Manual Currency, and End User Device Technical Currency (amongst others). The responsibilities for this position cover project and program management and infrastructure services delivery. The Current & Ongoing Programs Manager is expected to become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program area and will be the point of contact for SAIC and an escalation point for customer agency representatives. The Current & Ongoing Programs Manager will play a critical role in the effective delivery of core infrastructure services supporting the VITA contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage a portfolio of infrastructure programs to ensure cost, schedule, and scope performance meets the defined requirements.
- Manage a complex blend of resources including direct staff, indirect staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support a variety of stakeholders including functional team managers and key customer contacts.
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management, customers, and leadership.
- Prepare status reports.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Ensure contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience, or Masters degree and eight (8) years or more of related experience, or PhD and two (2) years or more of related experience. HS Diploma or Equivalent with an additional 4+ years of related experience considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Infrastructure Project Management experience including delivery of infrastructure services and the measurement and reporting of service performance.
- Previous experience leveraging MS Project and/or ServiceNOW as a function of project management portfolio responsibilities.
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple complex recurring project cycles within an ITIL framework.
- Significant experience in project and program management with an infrastructure focus.
- Experience working in ServiceNOW or comparable products.
- Experience working with/for a state or local government.
- Experience working in IT Service Management.
- Must be able to pass a Commonwealth of Virginia background check.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Significant skills with MS Project.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, and Adobe products.
- Candidate must have flexibility to accommodate time-sensitive and mission-critical work.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
- ITIL Certification preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
