JR. PROJECT COORDINATOR?(Environmental Engineering)



Exciting?direct hire?opportunity for a?JR. PROJECT MANAGER/ PROJECT COORDINATOR to join one of our leading Environmental Services client in the Richmond, VA area. This role will support Industrial and Municipal projects. Strong communicator who excels under pressure and consistently meets deadlines.




  • BS in Engineering / Operations Management / Business Management + 4 years of experience

  • OR AS in Engineering / Operations Management / Business Management + 8 years? experience

  • Experience on Industrial EPC Projects (e.g. Oil & Gas, Power Plants, Mine Plants etc.) preferred!

  • Certification with?American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE), Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) or Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is preferred

  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method concepts and calculations

  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management and rules of credit concepts, calculations

  • Proficiency in scheduling products Primavera P6 / MS Project and MS Office

  • Ability to understand and conform to all of the Project Requirements incl. corporate policies, operating practices and procedures.

  • Demonstrate excellent personal and organizational planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities within the portfolio of a dozen of projects

  • Ability to research, gather, compile, review, correlate, organize, verify, analyze, document data and statistics to conduct analysis, and identify inconsistencies, variances, discrepancies

  • Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both internally and externally to the organization

  • Agility to conform with different requirements

  • Self-motivated to seek improvements in the processes and carry lessons from one to another

  • Works well in a matrix structure, across multiple sites, and time zones


Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Sourcing and Engineering to maximize the potential of the project and optimize the portfolio management

  • Assist the Project Manager to facilitate the coordination between Sourcing and Engineering and the workflow of information between departments

  • Assist Project Manager to analyze and prepare time extension claims

  • Prepare tables and figures in Excel spreadsheets using data for other project control uses

  • Develop lists of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning deliverables and activities based on review of the requirements of organizational requirements

  • Assist Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Project Managers to develop schedules

  • Assist identifying major milestones, critical approvals and long lead procurement items as critical or near critical paths by having a closed schedule network

  • Assign resources (cost, labor or material) to schedule activities and develops reports and resource histograms as required by resource leveling if required

  • Maintain reasonable activity durations, schedule logic and constraints based on the inputs with task owners and/or teams

  • Participate in meetings to ensure schedule assumption changes and variances are addressed.

  • Report on the critical path and variances from the baseline with float information

  • Enhance the decision process of unsolved situations as open paths of the delivery

  • Advise on the schedule contingency and risk management

  • Publish schedule baselines and updates in all levels of details by writing narratives, explaining assumptions, progress, impacts, issues, concerns, risks, opportunities as required

  • Ensure that Project Controls Processes are consistently applied, using KPIs and other means

  • Use strong time management and prioritization skills coordinating with the Project teams

  • Carry lessons learned into future projects

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
